This winter in Minnesota has been pretty mild compared to others we’ve had, but the next week looks like we’re in for some below zero temps. It’s the perfect time to explore some indoor activities around the Metro Area with the whole family!

Como Zoo & Conservatory - If you’ve never been to the Conservatory, it really is a must see. Covering half an acre, the large conservatory is the perfect way to break the winter doldrums. There’s always flowers blooming and the temperature is nice and warm to keep the plants happy. Good Times Park - Minnesota’s largest indoor park is a surefire way to get some pent up winter energy out. Boasting 7 separate play areas, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Minnesota Children’s Museum - Currently housing 11 different exhibits, families can spend hours together playing, exploring, and learning. There’s also activities and events for kids and adults. Bell Museum - Preserving & celebrating Minnesota since 1872, the Bell Museum is one of the oldest museums in Minnesota. Exhibits include “Life in the Universe”, “Tree of Life”, “Web of Life”, and “Imagining the Future”. The beautiful new facility even has a planetarium with a “seamless dome”, the first of its’ kind in the United States! Can Can Wonderland - At the end of a very long hallway in a warehouse you really will find a wonderland. Can Can Wonderland is an 18-hole mini golf course for the whole family to enjoy. Designed by artists, this amazing course is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. A hole where you shoot your ball around a moving tornado, one that’s through and around a thousand musical instruments, and one where you swap your club and golf ball for a whiffle bat and ball. Minneapolis Institute of Art - There’s tons of family fun to be had at the MIA. Every second Sunday of the month they host Family Day with fun and entertainment for everyone. The youth and teen studio programs offer hands on experiences with pieces of art from the exhibits. There’s even a drop-in spot for families to read, draw, or burn some energy. SkyZone - Burn up all that winter energy jumping around on wall -to-wall trampolines. Play dodgeball, go big into the foam pit, or bring the little ones for Toddler Time.
